The Portland Pickles may be home to the world’s weirdest mascot, but the team is generating a buzz for being the first team to offer THC beverages at a live sporting event. The Portland Pickles announced a partnership with THC seltzer company Cycling Frog, making the brand its exclusive THC beverage partner for the team’s 2024 season.

The team hasn’t shied away from cannabis historically: in 2019, the Pickles announced a two-year sponsorship with CBD company Lazarus Naturals. Pickle’s Vice President of Business Development, Rob Walker noted that “[t]he Portland Pickles have a responsibility in the sports industry to take leaps and set precedent of innovative partnerships. As we saw in 2019, becoming the first team to ever partner with a CBD company, and quickly teams all the way up to the Major League level across sports follow suit. We are very proud to provide an alternative option at our games with Cycling Frog Products for our incredible fans and the city of Portland!”

Baseball fans age 21 and up can sit back and enjoy the game at Walker Stadium, all while sipping one of two of Cycling Frog’s stadium offerings: passionfruit or lemon. The brand’s light seltzers offer 2 MG THC per serving and 4 MG CBD.

We applaud the Pickles for being the first sports team to step up to the plate with on premise offerings of THC beverages. Play ball, and cheers to the Pickles fans!
